Brett Murray OAM is an award‑winning Australian keynote speaker, author, activist and CEO/co‑founder of the Make Bullying History (Safeheart) Foundation and is a 5 x nominee for Australian of the Year.

A survivor of chronic childhood bullying, Brett has presented to over half a million students, teachers and parents, and in 2024 was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to children. He combines lived experience with 30+ years of public speaking and community leadership to deliver a message he calls “Inspired Resilience.”

Brett is an internationally published author with 6 titles to his credit.

An accomplished Ironman triathlete – the world’s only “anti‑bully triathlete”— Brett Murray uses endurance sport as a living metaphor for the long‑term discipline required to eradicate bullying and build durable character. His talks translate Ironman lessons into practical tools: focus as the engine of change; thoughts shaping actions and actions shaping reality; the life‑and‑death power of language; the freedom in forgiveness; and the importance of community, conviction and knowing your worth. He emphasizes that your past does not define your future and that changing the lenses through which you see life unlocks new possibilities. Murray’s influence spans schools, corporations, Police and government, where he has helped shape policy, transformed community engagement programs and mentored thousands to grow resilience.

Brett designed and delivered (in partnership with Cronulla Sharks) The Sharks Make Bullying History initiative 2015 – 2022, which was awarded NSW Health and well-being program of the year on 2018, where he also mentored many NRL Players.

A Former high-performance athlete in sports besides Triathlon including Boxing, Rugby League, and current surfing brand Ambassador. Brett draws from all these sporting disciplines to share real life anecdotes that are applicable in all spheres of life and business.

Brett has written and produced TV series and Documentaries for Australian and New Zealand television Networks.
