Dylan Alcott AO
Paralympic Legend
Dylan Alcott AO, 2022 Australian of the Year, is one of the world’s most successful Paralympians, media personalities, and disability advocates. A 23-time Grand Slam champion in Quad Wheelchair Tennis and a Paralympic Gold Medallist in both wheelchair tennis and basketball, Dylan made history in 2021 as the first male athlete to achieve a Golden Slam. Born with a tumour wrapped around his spinal cord, he overcame a life-threatening illness to become a trailblazer in sport and beyond.
Since retiring from professional tennis, Dylan Alcott speaker, advocate, and changemaker, has focused on his mission to change perceptions of disability. He is a global keynote speaker, actor, and the founder of the Dylan Alcott Foundation, which provides grants, scholarships, and mentoring to young Australians with disability. He further co-founded Get Skilled Access to promote disability inclusion and launched The Field Jobs to connect job seekers with disability to employers. Dylan is also the founder of Ability Fest, the world’s only fully inclusive and accessible music festival. His relentless drive is rooted in his mission to create a world where people with disability can live the lives they deserve.
