Emma Paul
Educator | Mindfulness Curriculum Specialist | Children’s Well-being Advocate
Emma Paul is an experienced educator, well-being advocate, and the founder of Shining Little Souls— a heart-led business dedicated to helping children, families, and educators build lifelong tools for mindfulness, resilience, and emotional well-being. With over two decades in education, Emma has taught across all levels of primary school, University, and developed innovative well-being programs that blend creativity, character development, and emotional intelligence.
Emma founded Shining Little Souls after recognising a growing need in schools and communities: children were navigating a fast-paced, emotionally demanding world without regular opportunities to build the social and emotional skills they truly needed. She saw the incredible impact of mindfulness and emotional literacy in her own life (classrooms & with my children) but also the lack of consistent, practical, child-friendly resources available to support this learning. Inspired to make a difference, she created a space where well-being could be taught not just as a one-off lesson, but as a weekly practice that nurtures the whole child.
Through after-school programs, workshops, printed resources, and creative mindfulness activities, Emma and her team reach young learners across Sydney and beyond. Each session is a blend of journalling, hands-on creativity & construction, mindful teamwork, breathing techniques, and reflective practices—rooted in neuroscience and positive psychology, but delivered with heart and playfulness. These are the sessions that parents always say wish they had when they were children.
Emma’s speaker engagements reflect her deep commitment to the well-being of both children and the adults around them. Whether she’s leading a professional development session for educators, speaking to parents at a school community night, or running a workplace workshop for teams seeking balance and clarity, her approach is always practical, authentic, and inspiring.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Education (major in Gifted Education) a Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology. As a mother of four and someone who walks the talk, Emma brings real-world empathy, warmth, and wisdom to every space she enters. She’s passionate about supporting not only children’s mental health—but also the emotional well-being of those guiding them.
