Jason Leonard OBE is a Rugby World Cup winner who gained a World Record breaking 114 Test Caps for England and is currently on the Board of the British & Irish Lions.

During his 14-year international rugby career, Jason played in 4 Rugby World Cups for England, who became World Champions in 2003 and won 4 Six Nations Grand Slams in that time.

Jason has been on 3 prestigious British & Irish Lions tours with 5 Test appearances, including 2 in the victorious 1997 series win in South Africa. He played 6 times for the Barbarians, as well as making 290 appearances for his club, Harlequins, spanning both the amateur and professional game.

He earned an MBE for services to sport in 2002, which became an OBE after England’s Rugby World Cup success and was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2014.

Jason remains a huge presence in global rugby where he is highly active in governance and is on the Board of the British & Irish Lions. Jason was the Chairman of the British & Irish Lions from 2018 to 2022. He was President of the RFU from 2015-16 when England hosted the Rugby World Cup and is a Six Nations board member.
