Sydney Swans Head Coach

John Longmire is the current Head Coach of the Sydney Swans. He led the Sydney Swans to the 2012 AFL Premiership. As a player, he won the 1999 AFL Premiership with the North Melbourne Kangaroos.

John played for the North Melbourne Football Club between 1988 to 1999. During his time at the Club, he kicked an impressive 511 goals. Alongside Roos, Longmire also played a key role in the drought-breaking 2005 premiership win. In round 4 of the 2019 AFL season, Longmire coached his 200th game, a careerย milestone. Three rounds later, he overtook Paul Roos as the longest serving coach of the Sydney Swans.
