Nine Network Sports Presenter

James Bracey has quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the Nine Network’s most versatile and leading sports presenters.

Since joining the team at Nine in 2016, James is now the main anchor for some of the network’s highest rating sports coverage – including for the NRL, State of Origin and Grand Final, along with The Presidents Cup and the Australian Open.  He is also the anchor for the popular Sports Sunday program and more recently was appointed as the leading sports anchor for Nine News.

Following his graduation from the University of Newcastle in 2005, with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism), James joined Sky News as a sports reporter and presenter.

During his thirteen-year stint at Sky News, James hosted the very popular SportsNight evening show and covered three Summer Olympic Games (Beijing, London & Rio de Janeiro), two Winter Olympic Games (Vancouver & Sochi), the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, as well as the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Beyond television presenting, James is a an experienced and in-demand event MC.

Originally from the Central Coast, James now resides on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with his wife Margot and their baby daughter, Matilda.

Richard has hosted a myriad of top rating TV specials from ‘Angelina Jolie: Unbroken and Exclusive’, the eight-hour Millennium Live, the Annual Tropfest Short Film Special and for ten years, the New Year’s Eve Festivities and Fireworks over Sydney Harbour.

Richard is regularly the Master of Ceremonies at the G’Day LA and G’Day USA Gala Events in Los Angeles and New York. In 2006 Richard returned to the stage, winning acclaim for his role as Vince Fontaine in the mega-production “Grease: The Arena Spectacular”.

Richard released his book Black Ties, Red Carpets, Green Rooms in September 2011 to great acclaim. His insightful and hilarious recollections from the front-line of the entertainment world becoming a #1 Best Seller.

In 2012, Richard added another string to his bow, joining the team at Sydney and Melbourne’s new FM radio station Smoothfm and has enjoyed spectacular success, hosting the key weekend shift 10am-1pm.

But it's not all work for Richard. He's a tireless supporter of numerous charities including the Starlight Foundation and Spastic Centres. He was awarded the Variety Club's Ricky May Heart of Variety Award for his continuing support of humanitarian causes.

In the 2014 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, Richard was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), for “significant service to the community through a range of charities, and the entertainment industry.”

He's also a keen environmentalist and a proud father.
