James Bracey has quickly risen through the ranks, becoming one of Australia’s leading voices on Sport.
Following his graduation from the University of Newcastle in 2005, with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism), James joined Sky News as a sports reporter and presenter.
During his thirteen-year stint at Sky News, James hosted the very popular SportsNight evening show and covered three Summer Olympic games (Beijing, London & Rio de Janeiro), two Winter Olympic Games (Vancouver & Sochi), the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, as well as the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
Following his departure from Sky, James joined the Nine Network in 2016, where he has since become the main sports news presenter on the nightly news program, as well as the main anchor for the network’s highest rating sports coverage of the Rugby League. This included his weekly, round-to-round coverage of the NRL, as well as special events such as State of Origin and the Grand Final. He also regularly hosts and appears on other programs on the network, including 100% Footy.
On top of his extensive coverage of the NRL, James has led the coverage for various other significant global sporting events, including the Australian Open, and Presidents Cup.
